3D internal probe calibration?

3rd smoke in my 3D today and each time the internal 3D probe shows 10degs higher than my 733 probe positioned in almost the identical place.  The 3D meat probe and the other 733 probe are always within a deg or 2.
I know I can check/calibrate the 733 probes by dropping in boiling water, but what can be done with the 3D internal probe for test/calibration?  I'm waiting for the unit to cool down before seeing if/how the internal probe can be removed.

Recall Divot mentioning that the Auber probes can be calibrated through the controller.  Did you get a manual with your 3D unit?

Verified it's the internal auber probe that's off.  Just tossed both 733 probes in boiling water.  Both read 212F as well as my lavatools instant read.

No manual just basic instructions.
I'm not sure yet which probe is off, but I suspect the auber.

Jason, don't try to "calibrate" your box probe by using another thermometer.  Unless the Maverick was placed in exactly the same spot, it will read different.  Use ice water to test the probe to 32°.

Instructions are on p. 14 of the Auber WPS-1500GPH manual (works the same).

Thanks Tony.  I had the mav and auber probe tips almost touching so a 10F delta between them seems a bit extreme.
I'll give the ice bath a try.  I'm assuming I'm ok loosening the probe to place in the water or I'll have to tip the back of the 3D up to get the probe into a pan.

Jason, you should be able to put your ice water in a glass, take the smoke box and side rails out, and tip the smoker forward enough to get the probe in the glass.  I wouldn't go through the trouble of removing the probe.
