1 year anniversary with my Smokin'-It Model #2

This past week/weekend marked my 1 year anniversary with my #2 Smoker.

I received it on Sept. 5th, 2017 and my first smoke was on Sept 9th, 2017.

For the year I have completed 50 smokes.  Only had to miss a few weekends of smoking due to being out of town or had other commitments.  On some weekends I would do two smokes.

What we have smoked:

St. Louis Style Spare Ribs
Baby Back Ribs
Pork Loin
Pork Tenderloin
Whole Chicken
Swordfish Steaks
Bone-in Turkey Breasts
Boston Butt
Smoked Beans
Beef Brisket
Salmon

Granted, there are a number of types of foods that I want to smoke, but these few things seem to work well for us at the moment and they are in a constant rotation.

I've been using Smokinlicious Wood:  Wild Cherry, Hickory, and White Oak.

All I can say is that I still love my #2 Smoker and look forward to smoking nearly every weekend for the next year.  It has been the best purchase for me and I don't regret it one bit.  I still get excited when I know I'm about to crank it up.

Here's to another year of churning out some tasty BBQ.

Btw, here's the salmon I had on yesterday.

Cheers,
Scott

Appreciate that Old Sarge.  It's been a great year.  Thinking about getting the Jerky Dryer.  Been wanting to get into jerky a bit.  Also, probably going to do some pulled pork this weekend.  Can't wait.  Cheers.

Scott, good stuff right there. I'm right on pace with you. I've had my #2 for 6 weeks and I'm getting ready to pull my #6 (BBR's) smoke out as I type. BBR's are by far my favorite, wings coming in at #2.

Get the Jerky dryer and keep the temp down, consistent amazing results. https://www.smokinitforums.com/index.php?topic=1831.msg10800#msg10800

Awesome Tim.  Keep on Smokin!!!!  Yeah, I have to say that I love some Baby Backs myself.  Looking forward to seeing what you churn out.

Cheers,
Scott

That's what I've been hearing (reading).  Thinking about asking for that for Christmas.  Can't wait to give it a go.

Cheers,
Scott
