Storage Box
« on: January 04, 2015, 03:01:26 PM »
Hello,
I just got my smoker. I'm seasoning it now. I 've been trying to figure out a way to store my smoker in some sort of container on my deck but have not been able to find one that is tall enough. Any suggestions would be appreciated. How do y'all keep your smokers?

Mine stays on my deck with the cover on with no problems.

Like Gregg, I just put the smokin'it cover on it and keep it out on my deck year round.   I do push it up against the house so it has some protection from rain from the overhang on the roof.

:) I just rolled it into a corner of the garage.  This Christmas, however, I got a very stylish black vinyl cover. Classy!

Mine hangs out in my laundry room that's off my garage. I'm probably the only one who has a laundry/smoke prep room  ;D

Mine sits on a covered porch with a cover. I wonder if an upturned plastic garbage can would work?

I keep mine on my patio with the cover and roll it into the garage when it's going to rain.

Here's what I did after reading the following post:

Works GREAT !!  Just Google "Seville Classics Cart" and you'll find many places to buy them.  I got mine straight from the manufacturer over Christmas on sale with free shipping and no 9.25% TN Sales Tax  ;D

Anyone tried this with the #3?  The overall weight limit would seem to leave plenty of safety room, but would it be too top heavy?

I have mine on this cart:
http://www.harborfreight.com/24-inch-x-36-inch-steel-service-cart-5770.html

I did add two 12" patio blocks to the bottom shelf to provide more stability and I have never had a problem and it has been out in some pretty heavy winds. There aren't any locks on the wheels, so I chock them with a 2x4.
