Cleaning - both interior and exterior

Other than foiling the bottom and the firebox and removing it when your finished cooking, how much cleaning do you do on the interior and what do you use? On the exterior is there a recommended product that will remove the residue that leaks through the door and runs down the front? I'd like to know what to use that won't scratch up the stainless.
Thanks,
Mike

I only use very hot water and clean rags to wipe out the interior. I have used stainless steel cleaner on the outside with good results. There were some posts about using

with good results.
