I've got some sugar maple from smokinlicious that I've not used yet. Any suggestions for it?

Older post but my favorite (I have not received my #3 yet) wood in my previous smoker was Bourbon Barrels. I found some Tequila/Bourbon barrels that I ordered and plan to try. I used these on almost everything except birds.

Barrels would be oak, with some enhancements from the booze.

Prefer

Beef ... Oak and occasional Mesquite
Pork ... Hickory and minor fruit accents with Peach a fav
Poultry ... Pecan with Apple a close second

If I was limited to just one wood of any kind ... Oak
John ... Smokin #2  South of "Hells' Half Acre" and along ol' Deer Creek
