RTIC Coolers
« on: January 10, 2016, 09:53:24 PM »
I so want to order another cooler, but when you go to the order page as of today (Jan 10th 2016) shipping is May 24th!

https://www.rticcoolers.com/shop/coolers

Not sure if I want a 5 month gamble.

At least they tell you the delay if/you try to place an order.

Just sneaking in checking out some threads, I posted about these in another thread awhile back.

I have an RTIC 25 and 45, both have been heavily used.  The 45 took a trip with me to New Orleans to visit family and stayed filled with ice and stuffed chickens and seafood in my hotel room 3 days with very little ice lost and all the meat stayed frozen.  I did cold prep it before I added the food and replaced the ice.

I also have a few of the tumblers with the travel lids.  RTIC makes just as quality stuff as Yeti.  If you want Yeti for half the price, this is the answer.

Took forever but I finally received my RTIC cooler today. Ordered October 25th, 2015 and received March 3, 2016. Definitely looks like a quality unit and much better prices than Yeti. I've never ordered a product that has taken this long to ship though. Definitely the strongest cooler I've ever owned. Stepped up on it and it was solid as a rock. Can't wait to use it this summer!

Good deal, T!  I was wondering when we'd start seeing them, so we could get a review!

RTIC 65 Tan arrived yesterday, about three weeks early according to their estimate, one of two things, either they are catching up with orders, or, this is a slightly USED one that was returned, there are several scratches on the top and edges of the lid ;>((  I'll be calling Customer Service on Monday to find out what's going on but with everyone else getting theirs about on time per the company estimated time frame and for me to get this one 3 weeks early hmmmmmm, I wonder, I'll attach a picture, can't see the scratches but this thing is really nice, I'll probably keep it but really wanted one that LOOKED like new and at 1/2 the price of a Yeti and it actually holds more, it's really nice!  Carl

Know what you mean about the scratches, Carl, but they probably don't affect performance, and it's gonna get scuffed-up anyways.  No big deal, in my book.

I just ordered a medium sized one (the 45) today, and the estimated shipping date is 5/31/2016.  That's only one month out!

Yes Tony, I agree and I'm keeping it, just made me wonder when you order something new and it looks used, no biggie ;-)

You think it may have been shipping damage, Carl?
