Extension cord

Has anyone operated the Model 2 with an extension cord if so what gauge?

I used a 12 gauge with my old Cookshack because that is what I had laying around.  Worked well; no problems. Haven't needed one with the 3D because the cord is longer.  And welcome to the forum.

I use a 15' - 14ga. for my model 4.  It has never been an issue.  FWIW, the Auber cord is also 14ga.

I have used a 6ft 14 gauge on my #2 without any problems.
David from Roswell,GA. My tools currently include the SI #2 with an Auber, Grill Dome, Solaire 27", Holland Grill (Companion) & Weber (Smokey Joe). The Companion & SJ are primarily used for tailgating.

Hi Monty, and welcome to Club Lazy Q! 8)

I use a 12 gauge, 3 wire cord, but length of your cord will determine the size.  Anything over 50' should be 12/3, in my opinion.  I've ran my 2D and 3D successfully with 100' 12/3.
