Replacement Probe (Anyone ever use a 3.5mm to 6.35mm adapter?)
« on: December 11, 2017, 04:28:36 PM »
I have some other probes and it looks like my original got wet :(

Has anyone ever had any success using an alternate probe for a 2D other than an original replacement?
Would a simple 6.35 to 3.5 adapter allow a 3.5mm jack probe to do the same job tracking temps?

I read in your other posts that you believe your probe is toast. Have you checked that the connector on the controller is free of debris and is tight?  I don't know if anyone has tried your solution, or one like it. I suppose it is worth a try if they match up.  If it were me I would just order a replacement.

Easier on the non D models to test because we can just plug the box probe plug into the meat probe socket.  I don't know if you can get access to the back of the Auber in the D models.
