Gettin’ my feet wet.
« on: October 21, 2017, 06:50:04 PM »
Several years ago, I bought a Cookshack. I enjoyed it very much. Two years ago, it was stolen. >:(. I finally got around to replacing it. Upon reading about the Smokin-It, it seemed a no brainer to go with it at a significant savings. I’ve had it about a month and have fired it up 3 or 4 times. I am very pleased. In fact, my bride says the no peek ribs are her new love language.

Also, I decided to build a cart. The wood used on the top and front is reclaimed wall board from an antebellum home. I had to extract hundreds of square nails before being able to mill it.

Thanks for all the pointers. This is gonna be a good ride.

Welcome Chuck from SE Arizona. Great looking cookcenter. Well done. I passed on my Cookshack to my son when I acquired the 3D.  The SI smokers are a joy to use.
