Installing permanent probe
« on: September 25, 2017, 10:37:45 AM »
All
I installed the permanent probe this weekend and had my first smoke.

I autotuned the new auber

I noticed the temperature was about 3-4 degrees higher than what i put into the auber. Is this normal? Or should I be concerned?

I was smoking chicken.

I've done a number of autotunes on my Auber over the years and always get different results in my numbers.  With my current tune, the temp always seems to over run by a few degrees but eventually settles in.  I wouldn't worry a bit about a couple degrees seeing as those with analog have 30 degree temp swings.

Thanks Dave. I was a bit concerned. I guess I'll have to try again.
