First wings on the #2
« on: July 01, 2017, 08:56:58 PM »
Big shout out to Tim D (pargolfr) on his method.  Followed it for the most part and the results were outstanding!

Started with a couple packs of wings, drums only, rinsed and pat dry.  Light coating of Bad Byrons Butt Rub (salt, pepper, onion, garlic, paprika and chipotle powder) in ziplock and fridge for 30 minutes.

Into the #2 with 1.37 oz of apple at 250 degrees for one hour.  No water pan and no preheat.  Removed and put in pan, swimming, with a mix of franks wing sauce/honey, and for the kids, some in sweet rays honey BBQ.

Back into the smoker for another hour.
Remove and finish on the hot gas grill, three minutes each side.

Results?  Absolutely delicious!!!
