I made a couple different batches of jerky using a Rytek Kutas recipe. It was pretty good. I smoked it with apple wood. Take a look and see what you think.

To my family's taste it needs sugar. To us jerky should be salty and sweet. My first impression of the photos is there is no gloss or shine to the meat adding sugar would give you that.
However, if you enjoyed what you got, ignore all the above.

I will try sugar next time. I'm always looking to improve on the recipes I try. Sorry about the pictures loading sideways. I don't know why this happens.

Hi John. I used a product from my local Cash and Carry store called Beef special trim. I used a good sharp fillet knife and sliced it thin.
