Cooking Brisket

Can anyone help me with directions to cook brisket that works well for them every time they cook one? I have a number three smoker.

I've done two so far and both were perfect by my standards.  This post has notes from my first one.  I didn't make any significant changes on the second one other than cutting it in half and putting it on two racks because it was larger.
