Happy New Years and all the best for 2017
« on: December 31, 2016, 08:52:07 AM »
Hey Guys,

2016 turned out to be a crazy year and yes The Rumors of My Death Have Been Greatly Exaggerated :)

My wife and I sold our house in Florida and we purchased a cabin in the Blue Ridge mountains in Georgia. I then made another life change and quit my 12 year job as V.P. of sales. Life is to short not to have fun and after 12 years, it was time. We enjoyed the summer hiking and just getting the new place setup the way we like it. Anyways, I took a great job as National Sales Manager for a technology company and after four months finally feel I am back on track.

Last week I did my first brisket here at the new house and today the first turkey in my 3D!

Happy smoking friends.

Best Greg

So good to hear good news once in a while! Glad you're doing well and glad you live in the same state as I do! You did great moving to Blue Ridge. It's a beautiful area as you well know. Be prepared for cold unlike what you've had in Florida! Now, it's cold for the Southeast but still not what our Northern friends have to endure!

Looks great, Greg!  Did you put any kind of special outdoor cooking area in the back?  That nice clean air must be great!

Happy New Year!

We are loving the new digs and I was hoping to hike Blood Mountain this weekend, but it has been raining all weekend. Sounds like next weekend we may even see some snow!

For the smoker and the Weber grill we have them on the deck off the kitchen area. I have attached a few shots!
