Smoke chicken wings whole or separated?

Should chicken wings be smoked with the tips on? How about separating the drumette and the two-boner?

I usually remove the tip, but leave the drummette and the two-boner intact. This makes it easier to spread on the racks and move to the grill for the sear after the smoke is done.

My 2 cents. :)

I leave tips on but separate flats and drums. I prefer the flats so that is my motivation.
