First smoke
« on: May 17, 2016, 10:35:53 PM »
This weekend I took on a huge project. I smoked a packer 16 pound brisket for both burnt ends and sliced brisket. Also I smoked 6 whole chickens. I made my own rub and used gates original Kansas City sauce. It all turned out great as I had no left overs. The brisket had 6 ounces of sugar maple  and chickens had 3 ounces. 215 for brisket for 17 hours. 250 for chicken 5 hours.

Wow, That was a huge first project! I can't imagine what you are going to do for your next smoke... Congrats on a successful first run.

The first project was for my wife's graduation party. We had about 20 people and had more than enough meat. The smoker is awesome just need to scrape off some burnt nubbins and get ready for this weekend. I'm making ribs.No more masters classes means more fun time.
