First attempt at smoking chicken breast was a success!
« on: June 02, 2014, 08:38:10 PM »
My bacon weave wasn't nearly as impressive as some I have seen on here but tasted awesome. Tried a different rub (McCormicks chicken rub) and didn't care for it, but gave me an idea of how they will turn out. My briner jr arrived today so didn't have time to brine these but wow they were moist. Used a couple ounces of hickory and cooked at 250, took around 2 hours to reach internal temp of 165. I also injected these with Stubbs butter injection, really adds to the flavor.

Wow, that chicken looks great.  Did you stuff them with anything, cheese etc?
