Title: Does your smoker have a name?
Post by: Smokin Q on August 28, 2017, 09:25:00 PM
I am a newbie and still waiting on my SI #3 to be delivered, but I was wondering if any of you had names for your smokers? FYI, I am the kinda of guy that gives whole chickens a name when I smoke then.

I have been thinking of a few names, but wanted to wait and cook on it a few times before giving it a name.

Haven't named mine yet." Smokey " would be appropriate.

Nope...  I just refer to it as 'the smoker'.

My friends call my house Big Mo's BBQ since that's what I cook for them whether it's grilling or smoking.  I am actually going to get a sign for my house that says that and a matching sticker for the smoker.  Still working on a logo!

BigMo, interesting nicknames. Cajuns use "T" to indicate a smaller version. If ones fathers name was MO, one would be called T-Mo. Then again, sometimes sons start out small & turn out larger than their namesake.
What does the T-Mo stand for in Minnesota?

I'm 6'2" and over 300lbs so pretty much anything that's big I can be and have been called by it.  Often the bear I'm called depends on the situation.  Generally I'm a grizzly bear, if it's cold out I'm a polar bear, and if I'm really sleepy I'll be called a sleepy panda.

I didn't know that! I'll keep that in mind if I ever make it down towards y'all again.  Been to NOLA twice but never got a chance to visit the back country much. Ever heard the saying "We all know at least one idiot named Tyler."  Well between my class and the one above and below we had 5 Tylers and all of us played sports.  So none of us went by Tyler and just went by our nicknames so we knew who our coaches were hollerin at.  The T is for Tyler and the Mo is for my last name.  My father is a large but short (to me at least) man so I've been taller then him for years.  Actually the only people who call me Tyler are my parents and girlfriend.  The rest of the world uses T-Mo or one of my other nicknames haha
