2D temperature offset
« on: July 24, 2016, 10:24:07 AM »
Hi,
Last 2 smokes I noticed my smoker box is running consistently 20 to 24 degrees warmer then set temp, is there a way to offset this? I saw someone mentioned its possible but I can't find where to do this.
I hooked it up against a chef alarm and the probes are approx 3 inches both the same distance from the meat from so I'm pretty sure it needs that offset.

PS: if my box temp is that far off, does that mean my IT probe also went over that far? I will do some testing with ice water once this brisket is done.

Titus, if your meat probe is on the money, it's not very likely your box probe is that far off.  I've attached the Auber 1500GPH manual; there's a section about the offset.  All of the functions in the manual are the same as your controller.
