6 Turkey Challenge!
« on: December 25, 2016, 06:28:49 PM »
Thought I would share with those interested. I am open to feedback since I am by far and clearly not an expert. I smoked 6 Turkeys on average 12-15LB for Xmas. It turned out to be a little tricky trying to get the model 4D temp to stay steady but the end result was good. I had to make several adjustments and rotations during the process which made it difficult. I also seemed to have some issues with the PID but sure it was a user issue. It took roughly 4-5 hours to cook but honestly lost track of time. I also planned on 5 turkeys and ended 6.

Dude! Nice job! That's a lot of turkey. Hope you had a lot of folks over to eat them.

Ha! Yes got them all sealed and off to friends and family. The average smoked Turkey cost about $65-$70 so it made a nice gift. Of course, I had to take a couple for us too.
