Hello Smokin-it Family!
« on: February 24, 2018, 10:05:54 PM »
Just unboxed, assembled, seasoned and calibrated my new 2D.
Unboxing was like breaking in to Fort Knox. 3 lawn bags stuffed. That's a good thing!
Have loved grilling and cooking forever. (met my wife 35 years ago as a cook at Steak N' Ale..she was the hot door hostess, lol! Wooed her by cooking for her...No kidding!)
Been wanting a smoker for years. Electric was off my radar until a friend told me about his Model 1.
Researched all manufacturers smokers again including electrics and reached the conclusion that this was the one.
Impressed on absolutely every level. Manufacturing quality, fit, finish, company communication, website.
Feel like the forum members are old friends already, just from lurking.
First smoke tonight...chicken breasts. Delicious!
Ribs up next.
