Count me in!
« on: August 14, 2017, 09:58:52 PM »
Happy to join this forum and happy to announce that I ordered my first smoker today - the 3D.

Spent the last week doing my research and what essentially sold me were a couple of things...

1) Steve.   Answered every question.  No pressure.  Enormously helpful.   Wish every company had people with such passion for what they do.

and..

2) This forum!  In the midst of my questions, Steve told me all about this place and I've been reading and reading until I got to the point where I decided that I can probably do this (we shall see!) and have a lot of fun at the same time.   You folks are awesome!

Just hope I don't gain a lot of weight in the process of using the 3D.

Best,

Danny from NJ

BTW,

Kari, my son lives up in Madison.   Grad student at the college.

Thought you might like this photo.  Took it a couple of years ago in Cross Plains (I think that was the name of the town up there) at about 3am.  Tried to get in touch with the owner of the house to give them a print but couldn't figure out their phone number.

Yes... Cross Plains is the town... right outside Madison. It's a beautiful photo that represents the farming community of southern Wisconsin. I myself grew up right outside Madison on a very similar small family farm. I also came to Madison to go to University of Wisconsin. Never left.

Welcome Danny and let the fun and good food begin.  You will shortly find out that there are only a few "don'ts" but many right ways to smoke delicious food that your family and friends will hound you for.
