Has anyone ever tried doing a beer can chicken in a smoker?

iv done it. no issues. just smoke it like you normally would. I have one of those beer can chicken holder stands so that comes in handy.

Just do it like you would on the grill or in the oven. You can afford to put it in a small, skillet like holder to act as a drip pan. This will not impact the air flow in my experience.
