Spacer on temp probe
« on: September 26, 2016, 05:34:36 PM »
I read somewhere that some of you guys put spacers behind the temp probe so it's not sticking out so far. What is the maximum length the probe needs protruding into the smoker?

Chris, use a 1" nylon spacer, with a 5/16" inside diameter.  It goes behind the smoker wall.  Put it on the probe, stick it through the hole, then thread the nylon nut on from the inside of the smoker.  Works perfect!

Perfect thanks! I've got her going now with the drop in probe. Fixed one should be here in a few.
