BBQ Brisket Pizza
« on: September 06, 2015, 09:24:28 AM »
I have been making BBQ pizza for years, but my wife said using the smoked Brisket was the best yet!

BBQ Brisket Pizza
Ingredients:
4-6 oz. smoked brisket
Red onion (sliced thin, about 1 T)
1 cup grated Mozzarella cheese

Sauce:
BBQ Sauce

Crust:
12 pizza skin

Instructions:
1. Preheat pizza stone in oven at 550 degrees for one hour.
2. Stretch pizza skin to 12 diameter.
4. Spread BBQ sauce on the pizza skin.
5. Break up the brisket to small pieces and cover with BBQ sauce and place on pizza.
6.Top the pizza with the cheese and then add onions.
7. Bake for 6-7 minutes; allow the pizza to cool on a rack for 5 minutes.

Jimmy,

I really think you will enjoy it, next time I may caramelize the onions, but it was tasty.

Hey Thanks Steve.

The only problem is I am about out of leftover Brisket, I guess I will be heading to RD soon.

I have a pork butt brining to cook tomorrow. I may use this recipe with some of the left over pulled pork. I bet it will work good with that too.

Jimmy,

I have also used Pork Butt and it tastes great. But when I freeze the pork butt and then used at a later date it was not as good. The brisket, was frozen and you could not even tell.

Hey Steve,

Give it a try you will enjoy it. If you don't want to make your own dough, go to publix and buy the dough they make.
